Born in the colorful and luscious land of Haiti, Leyla had long been captivated by the use of different forms of artistry to convey feelings and stories that reach many. She found herself diving into the art of dance, photography, design, sewing, musicianship, decor, and film. With this strike of creativity in her veins ranging from childhood to adulthood, Leyla has since attained a fruitful career which allows her to utilize her skills to help develop organizational structures, project and brand strategies, and event curation. While also helping to strategically fulfill the visions of various clients. With a passion for words, she has demonstrated proficient use of writing in both educational and professional settings through her unique & descriptive style; beautifully distinguishing herself from her counterparts. Leyla’s love for writing has even been humorously described as a “genetic trait”, being that her mother was a communications executive and journalist for the World Health Organization. This gift has also been translated through her career as a professional in organizational development, creative expression, community change.

Leyla is an innovative and mission-driven leader with over 9 years of experience in development, community organizing, and event management. Specializing in strategy, partnerships and client relations, creative direction, and communications, she demonstrates agility by resolving operational challenges through process improvements and solution-based methods. Leyla is well apt in directing and implementing creative projects, and building sustainable funding pipelines and long-term relationships with stakeholders and clients – additionally, she is passionate about supporting underserved communities and BIPOC youth who hope to pursue creative and professional careers and establish life-long stability. Leyla has notably executed various events and projects with nonprofits, corporations, and private clients, including wide-scale conferences with companies like Spotify, concerts, fundraising galas, weddings, and community and youth-based projects for the awareness of social causes. Her work focuses on creativity, relationship-building, collaboration, equity, and innovation.
