Welcome to From the Ground ("FTG"), a creative and service-based company led by CEO and Founder Leyla Emile. By accessing our website, engaging with our services, or entering into collaboration with us, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before use.
1. Scope of Services
FTG provides a range of services, including but not limited to:Styling & Interior Design: wardrobe curation, photoshoot styling, residential and commercial design and decorating.Creative & Communications Services: storytelling, creative direction, PR management, writing services, internal and external communication enhancement, and consultations.Event Specialties: vendor coordination, guest experience, VIP management, logistics, and event execution.Photography: portrait, event, boudoir, architectural, and/or through our partner platform leylaevisual.com.Youth & Young Adult Mentorship: one-on-one mentorship and informal counseling for personal and professional growth.Speaking Engagements & Panels: hosted by (Founder, Leyla Emile) and (Partner, Nashon Headley).Music & Sound Services: provided by Headley House Co.
Services may evolve over time and may be subject to availability, approval, and project fit.
2. Values & Guiding Principles
FTG operates with values rooted in faith, community, and creativity. Our services are people-first, emphasizing:Christianity and God-centered creation.Community support and equity, especially for BIPOC and marginalized groups.Artistic freedom and quality service.Transparency, love, and communication.
We reserve the right to decline projects that conflict with our mission, vision, or values.
3. User Responsibilities
By engaging with FTG:You agree to provide accurate information during inquiries, bookings, and collaborations.You agree not to misuse our website, brand, or services for unlawful, exploitative, or harmful purposes.You acknowledge that services are customized and outcomes may vary based on collaboration, input, and agreed project scope.
4. Payment & Fees
Fees vary by service and season and/or booking date and will be clearly communicated prior to engagement.Consultations are required to fulfill services of any kind through FTG.Deposits are required to secure bookings on all services, not including.All invoices must be paid according to the payment schedule provided.Late or missing payments may result in suspension or termination of services.
5. Intellectual Property
All original content, creative concepts, photography, and materials produced by FTG remain the intellectual property of FTG unless otherwise stated in writing. Original content, creative concepts, photography, and material are subject to copyright infringement and legal action in applicable cases such as; false watermarking, reselling of content and/or materials, misuse of content and materials that do not align with FTG’s values, breach of contractual agreement, or use of any other entity name, aside from “FROM THE GROUND (FTG)”, coinciding with produced or pending content or material.Clients may use deliverables solely for the agreed purpose and scope.Redistribution, resale, or unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.Promotional use is permitted when citing credit to “FROM THE GROUND (FTG)” and its relative entities: (i.e., Naked Podcast, H&S Dance Class, Leyla E.).Any shared partner content (e.g., Headley House Co.) remains the intellectual property of its respective owner(s).
6. Confidentiality
FTG respects client confidentiality and, where appropriate, will handle sensitive projects (including public figure engagements) with discretion.FTG, when engaging in mentorship and informal counseling, will practice client confidentiality and utilize best practices.(FTG’s CEO, Leyla Emile), a mandated reporter and is legally required by state law to report suspected or known child abuse, neglect, or maltreatment to child protective services (CPS) or a law enforcement agency.Clients also agree not to disclose proprietary or confidential information about FTG, its staff, or its operations without consent.
6A. Suicide Prevention & Safety Disclosure
FTG mentorship and informal counseling services are designed to provide guidance, support, and tools for personal, social, and professional growth. These services are not a substitute for therapy, counseling, or professional mental health care. Please inform FTG if you are seeking a licensed therapist and referral will be made outside of FTG to sustain business values.If you share information indicating intent to harm yourself or others, FTG reserves the right to break confidentiality and take appropriate steps to ensure safety. This may include contacting emergency services, crisis resources, or trusted contacts.
By engaging with FTG, you acknowledge and consent to these exceptions to confidentiality.If you are experiencing a crisis, please contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline by dialing 988 (U.S.) or your local emergency number immediately.
7. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation policies vary by service type (e.g., events, mentorship, photography). These terms will be specified in each client agreement.Deposits are generally non-refundable but may be transferable at FTG’s discretion.In the event FTG must cancel a service, clients will be offered alternatives or a refund.
8. Third-Party Services & Partnerships
FTG may collaborate with trusted partners (e.g., Headley House Co.) to provide certain services.FTG is not liable for delays, errors, or issues that result directly from third-party providers, but we will work diligently to resolve concerns.
9. Liability & Disclaimers
FTG provides services in good faith and with professional care. However, we do not guarantee specific results.FTG is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or website.Mentorship services are not a substitute for licensed therapy, counseling, or clinical care.

10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of (NEW YORK). Any disputes shall be resolved in local courts of jurisdiction.11. Updates to Terms
